On March 1, 2012, the Massachusetts Alimony Reform Act became effective. Under this reform act, a spouses alimony now has a termination date, whereas under previously alimony law, a spouse's alimony obligation could last forever. Alimony is also now broken down in four(4)different types. Read on to see which type of alimony you are entitled to and how long it will last.
