The Office of the Westchester County Clerk will require the attached Index Number Application as of Tuesday, March 1, 2011 as a result of the expansion of electronic filing.

Please be advised that:

·Currently Commercial Division eligible cases must be commenced electronically in Westchester County Supreme Court

·As of March 1st, an action with any tort claim must be commenced electronically in Westchester County Supreme Court

·As of June 1st, all commercial cases, including breach of contract cases, must be commenced electronically in Westchester County Supreme Court

In addition, you may commence Tax Certiorari actions and Small Claims Assessment Review actions electronically in Westchester Supreme Court. However, electronic commencement is not mandatory for these case types.
