New York Brain Injury Lawyer from The Perecman Firm Warns about Rise in Brain Injuries in Prospect Park

New York brain injury lawyer David Perecman, founder of The Perecman Firm, comments on the rise in pedestrian-bicycle accidents resulting in brain injury in Brooklyn’s Prospect Park.

Since June, serious collisions between pedestrians and cyclists in this New York City park left two women with severe brain injuries.

Even after the accidents, cyclists were clocked going 31 mph, through the park where the speed limit for cars and bikes is 25 mph.

Actress Dana Jacks was hit by a bicyclist and hospitalized for 25 days. She said that she suffered 'brain trauma and face and skull fractures. A park volunteer, Linda Cohen was struck by a cyclist leaving her with injuries so severe that doctors put her in a medically induced coma.

There have been more accidents since the brain injury crashes, one of which involved a child.

“Bicycle and pedestrian accidents in New York can result in broken bones, serious spinal cord injury and brain injury, even fatalities and wrongful death,” said New York brain injury lawyer Perecman, a brain injury lawyer in New York for over 30 years.
