On June 18, 2012, the Office of Inspector General (OIG) for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) published a solicitation for information and recommendations to be used in revising its Provider Self-Disclosure protocol.
In 1998, OIG published its Provider Self-Disclosure Protocol. In 2008, OIG issued additional guidance related to the protocol. OIG is now seeking comments, recommendations and suggestions related to revising the protocol to address proposed revisions.
