As Republicans assume control of the U.S. House of Representatives, China-related issues are poised to be a key caucus priority and likely a rare area of bipartisan cooperation in a narrowly divided and highly polarized Congress.

House GOP leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., has identified countering China as the single most pressing issue for Congress. Other Republicans have promised a wide-ranging effort to oppose Chinese influence across military, economic, and social spheres.
