“The USPTO has issued a final rule notice reducing certain trademark fees. The reductions will benefit the public by lowering the costs of seeking and renewing federal registration. The rule decreases the fee for a TEAS Plus initial application by $50 to $225 per class, and establishes a new $275 per class option for the initial application, TEAS Reduced Fee (TEAS RF), to promote electronic communication while giving applicants more flexibility with the identification of goods/services.
