It is estimated that counterfeiting robs U.S. businesses of over $200 billion dollars annually. However, there are guidelines in place to protect the rightful owners of these counterfeited goods. In this video, Monica Riva Talley, a director with Washington, DC-based intellectual property law firm Sterne, Kessler, Goldstein & Fox P.L.L.C., discusses steps that trademark & copyright owners must take in order to benefit from the protections made available by the U.S. Customs Office.
