The article examines the risk of a mesothelioma diagnosis for railroad workers who have suffered asbestos exposure. The authors find that there is a high risk for mesothelioma for railroad personnel who worked with asbestos, as well as for many other types of workers, and the the cancer risk for these individuals was much higher than had previously been supposed.
