REMINDER: Additional Changes Pursuant to 2010 CORI Reform Law take Effect May 4, 2012

Employers are reminded that the remaining provisions of the 2010 Massachusetts Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) Reform Law become effective on May 4, 2012. On November 4, 2010, the first of the major changes took effect, prohibiting employers (other than those covered by specific statutory exceptions) from requesting criminal record information on an initial application form. On May 4, 2012, the remaining requirements of the 2010 CORI Reform Law take effect.
