WHEN DISASTER STRIKES
Dear Friends, Clients and Colleagues:
You read about disasters in the news on a regular basis. And you know there’s a chance something could happen to you. Those of us in California live in earthquake country. Others around the country and the globe face their own perils. We all know we should be prepared. But bridging the gap between knowing and doing something about it can be difficult.
While natural disasters remain constant possibilities, the greatest impact we see is from man-made events. In this edition, we look at the San Bruno explosion, the I-5 Tunnel Fire, and more immediately personal disasters. Each has had devastating impacts on our clients’ lives.
In this vein, our Safety First! column explores the importance of insurance. One of the most difficult aspectsof any disaster, personal, man-made or natural, can be the financial impact. The column suggests some ways one can help lessen that burden.
Our attorneys and staff continue to be actively involved in the community. We’ve also expanded our social media presence with our Twitter feed, @RFTM_Law_Firm, which regularly reports on noteworthy catastrophic injury lawsuits as well as events related to our case work and practice.
And with that, we welcome you to this winter’s edition.
All the best,The attorneys and staff at Rouda Feder Tietjen &McGuinn
