Section 498A OF THE INDIAN PENAL CODE- Husband or relative of husband of a woman subjecting her to cruelty.

Section 498A. Husband or relative of husband of a woman subjecting her to cruelty

It is embarrassing to make spelling mistakes. Especially when you are the Editor. Therefore, I have now started reading whatever I write over and over again.

When I read this article written by me, it made me laugh. Somewhere down below is a section where I explain in STAGES how a marriage ends up in a messy Section 498 A case. At the end of each stage I have explained What could have been done done. I believe there is nothing more effective than the husband and wife living separately in their own household and away from the husband’s parents. IT IS THE GOLDEN RULE AND THE MOST EFECTIVE REMEDY. There is no other way out. But since I started What could have been done, I had to complete it. And since I know there is not much to replace my solution, I ended up forcing myself to come up with unique What could have been done’s. So if you find them funny, do laugh, but let me assure you that Section 498A is not a laughing matter, it is in fact far from funny.
