..Republicans have term limits of 6 years for Chairmanship (C) and 6 years for Ranking Membership (R).

..Members can only use seniority to "bump" sitting Chairs/Ranking Members when the control of the Senate switches parties e.g., a Republican can only use committee seniority to "bump" the sitting Republican Chair/Ranking Member of that committee if the Democrats regain control of the Senate.

..Sen. Mitch McConnell is expected to remain the Senate Republican Leader and Sen. John Cornyn is expected to remain the Senate Republican Whip.
