Each year, the number of bicycle riders grows as citizens use their bikes as a healthier, greener way to commute and enjoy their neighborhood and surrounding area. But more bicycle riders means heightened potential for accidents, since vehicles remain the king of the road. With this in mind, the state of California is beginning to implement bicycle safety programs and increase funding for the state's bicycle trails.
