Washington State Moratorium on Rent Increases and Residential Evictions. In relation to the COVID-19 statewide emergency announced in Proclamation 20-05 dated February 29, 2020, as amended, Governor Jay Inslee imposed a statewide moratorium on residential evictions on March 18, 2020, by Proclamation 20-19, which was extended and expanded on April 16, 2020, by Proclamation 20-19.1, and extended again on June 2, 2020, by Proclamation 20-19.2.
