Temporary Delays on Notices to Non-immigrant Workers

more+
less-

The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (the “USCIS”) has received an extraordinary volume of I-129 petitions (relating to non-immigrant workers) this year, and as a result, the USCIS has acknowledged that many petitioners are not promptly receiving notices of receipt of their petitions.

Usually, a notice of receipt of a petition is sent within 30 days of delivery confirmation, but some petitioners are experiencing delays of up to a month lately.

Those petitioners who do not get a notification of receipt for their petitions within 60 days of filing can contact the appropriate USCIS Service Center via email address listed on the USCIS Web site.

If you are or are seeking to become a non-immigrant worker in the U.S., and you need help with your work-related petition, do not hesitate to contact our office for an appointment to speak with a qualified lawyer at (847) 564-0712. You can also check out our immigration law Website for more information about how we might assist you.
