On November 15, 2012, Nancie Marzulla discussed Casitas Municipal Water District v. United States at the Western Water Law conference in Las Vegas sponsored by CLE International. The Casitas case was argued in the Federal Circuit on November 6, 2012. the case involves important issues regarding the public trust doctrine, the requirement that water be released in the river to keep endangered fish in good condition, and the takings issue in the context of endangered fish protection.
