With a spanking new EU proposal on data protection in the offing, non EU companies with subsidiaries and branches in the EU should start thinking how they will best tackle the future legislation asap.

Current Spanish legislation, already one of the strictest amongst the 27 Member States, bears many similarities with the proposed Regulation, offering a great template for companies to follow.
