In the wake of globalization, talks of a Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty give the world hope that a new era of stabilization is dawning. The citizens of the world are becoming increasingly interested in building a stable economic and cultural network which will tie the nations together peacefully. With the invention of nuclear weapons technology it is not likely we will see the end of nuclear weapons until a new technology takes its place.

Nuclear weapons themselves may offer a strategy to lasting peace. As explained by non-zero sum game theory, as long as nations have nuclear capabilities, those nations are more willing to negotiate peace talks than they are willing to battle.
