This is a memo that I wrote as part of a practicum/internship component of a study-abroad program that I attended in Santiago, Chile during the summer of 2008. It provides a general overview of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, as well as basic recommendations for companies that are or may be affected by the SEC regualations/rules. Please bear in mind that I had taken only 1L courses (Civil Procedure, Contracts, Legal Writing, Property, and Torts) prior to writing this memo.
