On August 23, 2021, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) announced that, effective October 1, 2021, the fees that public companies and other issuers pay to register their securities with the SEC will be decreased from the current rate of $109.10 per million dollars to the new fee rate of $92.70 per million dollars. The current fee rate will continue to apply to filings of securities offerings made through September 30, 2021. If you plan to file a securities offering this year, we recommend that you keep an eye on the upcoming fee rate change to make sure you calculate the correct SEC registration fee for your deal.

The press release announcing the new SEC fee rate is available here.
