Toronto Police Accuses SIU of Playing Politics

With last year's scathing Ontario Ombudsman report calling Ontario's police watch dog a "toothless tiger," the Special Investigations Unit (SIU) has now charged almost four times as many officers as last year.

The Toronto Police Association is calling this politics and charges that are being laid are stemming from political pressure and not officer wrongdoing.
