Turkey: The authorities launch a tender for the privatization of the lotteries

The Turkish authorities have published today an announcement regarding the privatization of their lottery services (Official Gazette w. no. 28833).

According to the announcement, a tender will be made and a license for providing lottery services in Turkey will be granted to the chosen operator.

Pursuant to the terms of the announcement, the bidders are required to apply for preliminary qualification before 30 January 2013. Afterwards, bidders are going to be required to sign a standard Non-Disclosure agreement to be provided by the Directorate of Privatization and submit $5,000 to obtain the tender documents as of 26 November 2013.

The bidders are also required to submit a temporary bond (bank guarantee) of $10,000,000 before participating in the tender. The last day to submit the bids is 13 February 2013, 16.00 (GMT+2).
