Unfair terms legislation joins the government's rush (Australia)


Following the passing of the Insurance Contracts Amendment Bill 2013 last week, the Government today introduced the Insurance Contracts Amendment (Unfair Terms) Bill 2013 into the House of Representatives as part of its rush to get last minute reforms passed. With today's focus on behind the scenes political manoeuvring, it remains to be seen whether these reforms will be passed by both houses prior to Parliament rising later this week.
