The U.S. Senate has confirmed Colette Honorable as a Commissioner at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC).  Receiving bipartisan praise throughout the process, Honorable’s confirmation cleared the full U.S. Senate on a voice vote on December 16, 2014. She will most likely take her seat after the holidays and likely begin voting in mid- to late January 2015.

Colette Honorable, a Democrat, is Chair of the Arkansas Public Service Commission and president of the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners. She previously served as executive director of the Arkansas Workforce Investment Board, chief of staff to then-Arkansas Attorney General Mike Beebe, and assistant attorney general under then-Attorney General Mark Pryor.  A graduate of University of Arkansas at Little Rock law school, Honorable was also assistant city attorney in North Little Rock, an assistant public defender, a law clerk for the Arkansas Court of Appeals, and a staff lawyer for the Center for Arkansas Legal Services.
