By February 1, 2012 all private-sector New York employers will be required to provide each of their employees with a written notice pertaining to pay rates and pay dates. The Wage Theft Protection Act contains numerous wage and hour notice requirements that must be complied with by all private-sector New York employers. Employers that fail to provide the required notices stand to incur significant fines. The attached article, entitled Wage Notice Requirements For All Employees Must Be Distributed By February 1, 2012, provides useful guidance on how to comply with these various wage and hour notice requirements.
