The success of any eDisclosure project, whether litigation, investigation or regulatory compliance, depends on the story that your data tells and often, how expeditiously you can acquire that data for analysis.

Yet forensic collection can be rife with errors—inadvertent spoliation, risk of missing relevant information, or over-collection (unnecessary costs), especially when parties opt to self-collect.

But collection need not be a dark art. This live webinar, led by forensics and legal experts, will tell you what you need to do when you or your client says “It’s okay! I’ve collected my own data!”

Join leading experts to learn best-practices approaches and tips for identifying the most valuable sources and data. Topics will include how to:

  • Effectively scope sources of potentially relevant data
  • Hone in on the relevant data
  • Collect the data in a defensible, proportionate manner
  • Avoid the issues that can arise when a proper collection is not carried out

Mike Jackson
Head of Investigations
Edmonds Marshall McMahon

Mike is Head of Investigations at Edmonds Marshall McMahon in February 2018. Edmonds Marshall McMahon is the only law firm in the UK to specialize in private prosecutions. Whilst at the SFO, Mike worked as every level of investigator and experienced most aspects of criminal investigation and prosecution. This culminated in five years as a lead investigator on some of the SFO’s highest profile cases. These included the UK’s first ever Deferred Prosecution Agreement (DPA), as well as the UK’s largest DPA, both relating to corruption investigations. At Edmonds Marshall McMahon, Mike undertakes work on complex fraud and corruption work and his previous SFO experience has been very relevant.
