The University of California, Irvine has announced its plans to offer League of Legends scholarships this fall, making it the first public university to launch an e-sports scholarship program.  Irvine’s new eSports initiative will launch with the opening of a 3,500 square-foot gaming arena.

DraftKings and FanDuel Announce ‘Indefinite’ Suspension of College-Sports Contests

Citing “productive” conversations with the NCAA, the suspension will go into effect  in all states after Saturday’s Final Four games .  The companies announced their intention to work with the NCAA and lawmakers on a carve-out for collegiate sports in any proposed regulatory framework moving forward.
