Welcome to the Brave New World of eDisclosure

On December 9, 2015, EPA provided notice of its new “eDisclosure portal”.  Going forward, self-disclosures under EPA’s Audit Policy and its Small Business Compliance Policy will be made via the web-based portal.

Disclosures under EPA’s New Owner Policy will not be subject to the eDisclosure Portal; instead, they must still be submitted “manually.”  It’s also worth noting that, if a regulated entity feels that it needs to submit confidential business information as part of its disclosure, CBI must still be submitted manually, rather than via eDisclosure.

Of course, none of my clients ever commit any violations and thus won’t need to use the eDisclosure Portal, but the rest of you should probably familiarize yourself with the procedures for utilizing the Portal.
