There is widespread and rampant refusal throughout corporate America to even consider applications submitted by unemployed job candidates. Yet, the New England Patriots, an NFL powerhouse, just signed a player cut by NFL doormats the Houston Texans. There are good people out there, and long-term unemployment is in many cases a result of the Great Recession, not laziness.
