It’s no secret among the medical community that there are patients whose only purpose is to find fault with everything the physician, nurse and health care team are doing. These patients are rarely seriously ill but want to make their living by filing frivolous lawsuits against anyone involved in their care. It is unfortunate that as care givers trying to help, we are rewarded with the impending threat of lawsuits by patients whose only goal is to achieve a monetary reward.
