What's The Deal?

What better way to kick off 2013 than with kind of a big deal!

eOne just announced this morning that the Competition Bureau will not stand in the way of its planned acquisition of Alliance Films. eOne and Alliance made a big splash during TIFF 2012 by announcing the agreement (click here for the original press release). However, eOne had to obtain the necessary regulatory clearances, which it now has, prior to completing the deal. Now that the Competition Act waiting period has expired, expect this deal to be wrapped up shortly.
