White House to Lift COVID-19 Travel Bans Effective Nov. 8, 2021

UPDATED October 15, 2021 – The White House announced that the new travel policy allowing fully vaccinated foreign visitors to travel to the United States will begin on Nov. 8, 2021.

September 20, 2021 – The White House announced today that the United States plans to lift the geographic based travel restrictions on fully vaccinated foreign visitors starting this November. This new guidance will apply to all international travel.

These new rules are expected to require foreign nationals traveling to the United States from abroad to show proof of being fully vaccinated, to take a pre-departure COVID-19 test within three days of their flight, and provide proof of a negative test result before boarding. Fully vaccinated passengers will not be subject to quarantine mandates upon arriving in the United States.
