As you are driving up to a sobriety checkpoint, you will notice that the area will be heavily lit up, will be patrolled by multiple police officers, will have several police vehicles and that there will be multiple signs indicating that a DUI stop is up ahead.  Officers must follow a neutral and mathematical formula that usually includes either stopping every car or every few cars.
