What is cloud computing?

When the Internet started it was Web 1.0. Then the web evolved into what we have today, an interactive platform that is Web 2.0. You can take information and put it up, or host it, in the cloud. "The Cloud" is a euphemism for the Internet. The Cloud (and the irony is not lost on us) is ethereal and means different things to different people so the panel described in brief the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) definition.
