In Arizona, the juvenile crime investigation process normally follows the same process as any other type of crime. It usually begins when the police receive a complaint and create a preliminary report. After that, the police may start to pursue the suspect(s) identify and seek out witnesses for questioning. The police may also examine the crime scene in order to gather additional evidence. Finally, the police may bring in suspect(s) for questioning.

It is important to keep in mind that juveniles have the same rights as adults throughout the criminal investigation process. Juveniles in Arizona have the right to remain silent as well as the right to an attorney. Therefore, it is vital for any juvenile that may be facing a criminal investigation to contact a criminal defense attorney immediately.
