Trademark protection just got slightly more complicated, but in a good way. Starting Friday, Facebook users will be able for the first time to choose their own user names. And starting today, trademark holders can register their trademarks with Facebook to prevent unauthorized Facebook users from misappropriating those trademarks and using them as user names.
