Savings & Loan Holding Co's to Comment on New Regs


Dodd Frank Wall Street Reform Act transfer regulation of Savings & Loan (Thrift) Holding Companies from the Office of Thrift Supervision ("OTS") to the Federal Reserve Board, beginning July 21, 2011. This Federal Register Notice seeks public comment on the Federal Reserve's intent to apply some Bank Holding Company regulations to the Thrift Holding Companies.

More specifically, the Federal Reserve is seeking comments on:

1) Consolidated Supervision for BHCs and THCs

2) Limiting Exams for Small, Noncomplex Holding Companies

3) Standardizing the Holding Company Rating System

4) Reconciling Differences in Assessing for Capital Adequacy

Comments are due no later than May 23, 2011.
