First opinion regarding Colorado's Expedited Relinquishment Statute

To my knowledge, this is the first decision interpreting the Colorado statute allowing a parent to file an expedited petition for the relinquishment of a minor child. My firm represented the potential adoptive parents and, though we lost at the Court of Appeals (this decision), we petitioned for certiorari, which is pending. Either way, this is an important case for adoption law in Colorado.
