I know all about traditions...I grew up first generation Italian! I have shared many of those traditions with my own family now. But, there are times when certain traditions should be broken because they may do more harm than good...financially. Naming a beneficiary on a life insurance policy or brokerage account for example should not be dictated by traditions and customs.
