Ontario farm suffers large fire and sues their fire department for failing to attack and contain the fire properly. Trial Judge finds that fire department did not formulate the best plan of attack on containing and extinguishing the fire, but dismisses action against fire department regardless. Ontario Court of Appeal orders a new Trial, stating that the issue of causation (i.e. what additional damage was caused due to the delay as a result of the plan of attack implemented) was to be dealt with at the new Trial.
