Nightlife “King” Accused of Sexual Harassment, Said New York Sexual Harassment Lawyer

Manhattan club owner Mark Birnbaum is accused of sexual harassment by four female employees. New York civil rights violation lawyer David Perecman comments.

According to the lawsuit filed in Manhattan Civil Supreme Court, the four women said Birnbaum, co-owner of Tenjune and Simyone Lounge, used his position "to prey on his female employees to satisfy his own personal needs."

Among the allegations of sexual harassment, Birnbaum made unwanted sexual advances, requested sexual favors and engaged in inappropriate and illegal verbal and physical conduct of a sexual nature with plaintiffs.

Said New York civil rights violation lawyer Perecman, "If the owner repeatedly made unwelcome sexual advances, and created an uncomfortable working environment on the basis of his behavior, then this can be considered an example of hostile work environment harassment."

New York civil rights violation lawyers understand that employers who subject employees to sexual harassment are violating federal, state and local New York law.
