On April 5, 2012, President Obama signed into law the Jumpstart Our Business Startups, or JOBS, Act. The JOBS Act will have broad impact as it relaxes securities regulations for smaller and start-up businesses and creates new sources of funding that will make it easier and less costly for them to raise capital.
