In this case, my client owned a 50% share of a 230-acre waterfront parcel of property in Charleston County. The other owner sought to have the property sold in auction, while my client wished to retain her share of the property. After hard-fought litigation, we obtained an order from the South Carolina Court of Appeals allowing my client to retain 100% ownership of a 130-acre parcel waterfront parcel, which represented well over 50% of the total developable acres.
