This is a letter signed by 24 entrepreneurs, investors and attorneys who reside in Washington State and are concerned about the unintended consequences of a draft law being circulated in the U.S Senate that could have adverse impact for startups seeking angel investors. The signatories to the letter believe that the current Reg D "accredited investor" exemption is working well and working safely, and that ending federal preemption over state regulation of such offerings will hurt startups.
