New York personal injury lawyer David Perecman comments on the personal injury of subway accident victim Michael Dion who was crushed between a 4 subway train and the station platform by a moving platform extender at Union Square. Dion remained pinned for over 30 minutes before rescue workers could extract him from his painful position. He is suing the MTA and NYC Transit for financial compensation that New York personal injury lawyer Perecman estimates will cover Dion's injuries, pain and suffering. The MTA and NYC Transit are accused of negligence for failing to have safety barriers in place that could have prevented Dion's subway accident and for a lack of trained MTA workers at the station who could have immediately rescued him . On-duty workers at the Union Square station had to call in a contractor who knew how to retract the crushing platform. New York personal injury lawyers are waiting for the investigation of the accident to be completed.
