Koller v. Brown,. et al

Amended Complaint

Presidential Elector Vinz Koller, a Democrat, faced the possibility of felony criminal prosecution if he voted for a compromise candidate with other presidential electors in an effort to keep Donald Trump from becoming president. Although he lost his first round in federal court, he is not done with his legal challenge. Today he filed an Amended Complaint that continues to challenge California election laws that prioritize political party loyalty over the best interests of the country and asking a federal court to find that his constitutional rights were violated.

No voter should be intimidated, threatened, or coerced into their voting choice with threats of jail, fines, loss of voting rights, loss of right to possess a firearm, loss of right to serve on a jury, loss of right to serve in the military, and other important rights.

Although the 2016 election is already completed, Koller alleges that the same situation is likely to be repeated and evade judicial review if the court does not resolve the issue now.
