Yesterday, we introduced you to the beginning of a list of the top five credit card mistakes that lead to divorce for couples in Arizona and all around the country. The list began by encouraging you to discuss debt and spending behaviors before getting married. Be honest with each other in order to build a marriage on trust, support and stability. gives the remaining three credit card tips in order to create and protect a healthy marriage:

3. Strategize spending

When you and your partner discuss debt and exactly how each of you has accumulated your debts, the conversation should go one step further. Come to an agreement on how to handle money and spending throughout the course of your future relationship. Discuss how each of you has used credit cards in the past and whether those habits can coexist to sustain a stable, financially healthy relationship. Only agree to terms you truly believe you want to and can live with. Otherwise, you will wind up disappointing each other down the road.
