Most senior abuse cases involve a nursing home failing to administer the care that was expected. Nursing home abuse and neglect are major issues, but homecare is another area where seniors sometimes go through devastating neglect with little chance of anyone standing up for them. Older people are, obviously, less physically capable of defending themselves when someone visits violence upon them. They are also subject to being separated from reality because of some of the psychological issues that tend to come along with aging. This can lead to innumerable situations where the elder’s quality of life, and sometimes life in general, is threatened.
