Wells Fargo Bank v. Siegel

US District Court Decision

As lead trial counsel on behalf of Defendant Paul Siegel, Robert Thurston and a team of 3 other counsel defeated false claims that Mr. Siegel owed money to a convicted felon grain silo operator which could be collected by the felon's creditor Wells Fargo Bank. The decision was the result of a four and half day trial before US District Judge Der-Yeghiyan and a two week post-trial briefing process. It was upheld by the 7th Circuit following Wells Fargo's appeal, 540 F.3d 657 (7th Cir. 2008).
