The current version of Form I-9 expired on August 31, 2012. USCIS has reported that until further notice employers should continue using the Form I-9 that is available on the USCIS forms page www.uscis.gov which shows the OMB control number expiration date of August 31, 2012. According to USCIS this form is still valid (click here for more information).

USCIS is currently in the process of updating the I-9 form and has invited comments regarding the latest version of the proposed form. Stay tuned as we expect the new I-9 form to become available for use over the next few months.
